What it costs with your own keys

Worked examples at $0.046 per prompt across the four API engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity), measured in August 2026 on their default models. This applies on either plan when you use your own keys: the provider bills you, not us, and every run shows its own cost inside the product. The other three engines are priced per request by the provider whose key you add, and are typically cheaper.

A solo product, checked daily

$27.60 /mo

20 prompts, 1 run a day, all four API engines.

A small team tracking a category

$69.00 /mo

50 prompts, 1 run a day, all four API engines.

An agency watching a client closely

$276.00 /mo

100 prompts, 2 runs a day, all four API engines.

Fewer engines, cheaper models or fewer runs a day all bring this down, and the product lets you choose each of those per engine. Provider prices move, so treat these as arithmetic rather than a quote.

Questions

FAQ

How does the free trial work?

Pro starts with 7 free days. You give a card at signup so the plan can continue without a gap, and nothing is charged during those 7 days. You get the full Pro plan for the whole trial.

What happens when the trial ends?

On day 8 the card is charged for the plan you picked, $29 for a month or $299 for a year, and Pro continues. If you cancel before then you are charged nothing and the workspace drops to the free plan.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time, from the billing portal in your account. Cancelling stops the next charge. Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then the workspace drops to the free plan and your data stays where it is.

Can I use my own API keys on Pro?

Yes. Add your keys and CitePrism uses those instead of ours, so the included usage stops being the limit. Your own key spend is bounded only by the daily spend cap you set yourself, and every run shows what it cost.

What is included in Pro usage?

Pro includes a daily amount of model usage on CitePrism's keys, so you can start tracking immediately without opening an account with a model provider. If you run a large prompt set every day, add your own keys: your own key usage has no included-usage ceiling and every run still shows what it cost.

Do I need a card for the free plan?

No. The free plan needs no card and does not expire. It runs on your own keys, so the only cost is what the providers charge you for the prompts you run.

Which engines are on the free plan?

All seven: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot. The free plan runs them on your own keys, and every feature comes with them.

How are Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot read?

They have no public API, so CitePrism reads the answer the product shows. You add a key for that under Settings > Engines on the free plan, or run on ours with Pro. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity can be read the same way, so you see the answer a person sees rather than an API reply.

What are Opportunities?

A weekly action list written from your last 30 days of answers: what to create, what to improve, where to get listed, where to show up. Each item is tied to the prompts it helps. It runs on your own key on the free plan, and on ours with Pro.

What is the Custom plan?

A written agreement for teams that need more than Pro: higher limits, invoicing instead of a card, and help getting set up. Email [email protected] or book a call and we will quote it.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly?

Yes, from the billing portal. The switch takes effect straight away and Stripe adjusts the amount for the part of the period you already paid for, so you are never charged twice for the same days. Yearly works out at 2 months free against the monthly price.

What does sampling cost with my own keys?

Around $0.046 per prompt across the four API engines on their default models, measured in August 2026. Twenty prompts once a day is roughly $28 a month, paid to the model provider rather than to us. Cheaper models and fewer engines bring it down a lot. Engines read from the product itself are priced per request by the provider whose key you add, and are typically cheaper than a model call.

Measure your brand first

Sign up, add a brand and a few prompts, and read the raw answers. The free plan needs no card. If you would rather talk it through, book a call.
