The deal, plainly.

What the service does

CitePrism asks the questions you configure to the AI engines you enable (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot) on a schedule, stores the answers, and derives visibility metrics from them.

It measures synthetic sampling. Every number comes from runs CitePrism generated itself. It does not and cannot tell you what real users typed into an assistant, because no provider exposes that. Treat the output as a directional signal about how models talk about your category, not as a traffic report. We would rather say this in the terms than let anyone infer otherwise.

Your account

You need a verified email address. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Anyone you invite to a workspace can see everything in it, and workspace admins can invite and remove members.

Cost and your provider keys

The free plan runs on your own keys, so the cost of running prompts is billed to you by the provider directly, at their rates, and we never see that bill. Roughly $0.046 per prompt across the four API engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity) at the time of writing, but the providers change their prices and that number will drift. Engines without an API are billed per request by the provider whose key you add. Pro includes a daily amount of usage on our keys, and you can add your own keys on Pro for anything beyond it.

CitePrism enforces a daily spend cap per workspace and shows the cost of every individual run, but a cap is a safety net, not a guarantee: provider pricing changes and rounding mean you should treat your own provider dashboard as the authority on what you have spent.

Prices can change. We give account holders at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change takes effect, and the free plan stays available.

Billing

The free plan costs nothing and needs no card. Pro is $29 a month or $299 a year. A Custom plan is priced in writing before it starts.

Pro starts with a 7 day free trial. You give a card at signup and nothing is charged for those 7 days. When the trial ends the card is charged for the plan you picked, unless you cancel first.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancelling stops the next charge. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then drops to the free plan. We do not refund part periods.

Prices can change with at least 30 days' notice by email. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

Fair use

Do not use the hosted service to:

• break the terms of the AI providers whose APIs it calls;
• send prompts designed to extract personal data about a private individual;
• attack, overload or probe the service or anyone else's workspace;
• resell it as your own product without a written agreement with us.

There are per-workspace limits on brands, prompts and competitors so one account cannot crowd out everyone else. If you need more, ask.

Your data

Your workspace content is yours. We claim no ownership of your prompts, your brand configuration or the answers collected for you, and we do not use them to train anything. What we store and for how long is in the privacy policy. Every screen has a CSV export, so leaving does not mean losing your history.

Availability, and what we do not promise

There is no uptime guarantee. This is a young project run by a small team, and it depends on third-party AI providers that have their own outages, rate limits and model changes. We will try to give notice of anything disruptive that we control.

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including business decisions taken on the basis of the metrics. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, which is nothing on the free plan. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending it

You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your data. We can suspend or close an account that breaks the fair-use terms above or puts the service or other users at risk, and we will tell you why unless we are legally unable to.

Changes

We will email account holders before any change that materially affects what you get or what you owe. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
